Latcho & Andrea's colorful history began in 1982 when they met as performers in a traveling Wild West show.Latcho worked as a fire eating medicine man, and Andrea was an Indian dancer. The Wild West show ended after a short run, but the Latcho & Andrea show continued when they joined Circus Atlas, but this time with a Hindu twist. Latcho's name changed to Sabu the Living Volcano, and Andrea became Indra, the snake dancer. After traveling with the Gipsy Clan of Circus Atlas for three years, Latcho reformed his Gipsy Flamenco group “Lailo”. With “Lailo”, Latcho was a composer and guitarist, and Andrea continued with Flamenco dance and began playing rhythm guitar. “Lailo” recorded four albums, toured throughout Europe and Egypt appearing on television and radio, and won awards for best folkloric music group. In 1996, Latcho & Andrea decided to leave Europe and relocate to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico when lifelong friend Lobo, of Willie & Lobo fame, touted the area as paradise. Since then, Latcho & Andrea have been consistently performing throughout Mexico, United States and Europe. Please enjoy the galleries of their history. |
